Start-up Arunachal

Overview

Start-up Arunachal is a flagship initiative of the Government of Arunachal Pradesh aimed at fostering a vibrant start-up and innovation ecosystem in the state.
The policy encourages young entrepreneurs, innovators, and local businesses to develop scalable, technology-driven, and sustainable enterprises across various sectors — from agriculture and tourism to IT and green energy.

Launched under the larger vision of “Atmanirbhar Arunachal” and aligned with the Startup India Mission, this program offers financial support, incubation, mentorship, and market linkage to help local entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

To be recognized under the Start-up Arunachal program, an enterprise must:

  • Be an entity registered in Arunachal Pradesh (private limited, LLP, or registered partnership).

  • Be in operation for not more than 10 years from the date of incorporation.

  • Have an annual turnover not exceeding ₹100 crore.

  • Be working towards innovation, development, or improvement of products, services, or processes.

  • Not be formed by splitting or reconstructing an existing business.


How to Apply
  1. Register as a Start-up

    • Visit the official portal: www.startuparunachal.in

    • Fill in details about your enterprise, founders, business model, and innovation area.

    • Incorporation/Registration Certificate

    • Business Plan or Pitch Deck

    • PAN & GST Registration (if applicable)

    • Bank Account Details

    • Declaration of innovation or uniqueness

  3. Screening & Approval

    • The State Start-up Council evaluates applications based on innovation, scalability, and social impact.

    • Selected applicants are onboarded to the Start-up Arunachal ecosystem and assigned to relevant incubation centers.

  4. Access Benefits

    • Eligible start-ups receive seed capital support, mentorship access, and market facilitation through government and private partners.

  • Nodal Department: Department of Industries, Government of Arunachal Pradesh

  • Key Partners: Startup India, North Eastern Council (NEC), NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission, and local academic institutions.
