Important Considerations & Tips for Business Owners
-
Eligibility & Timing: Ensure your enterprise is newly established in the FY 2024-25 and that you register through the proper portal for this initiative.
-
Enterprise Viability Matters: The initiative emphasises not just starting a business, but also its sustainability, growth and turnover.
-
Leverage the Campaigns: Watch for the licensing/subsidy campaigns (July-Sept) and marketing campaigns (Oct-Dec) – these are strategic windows to apply for benefits.
-
Prepare for Mentorship/Networking: From Jan-Mar you’ll have opportunities to engage with mentors and use networking portals – be ready with your business plan and networking goals.
-
Understand Support Mechanisms: While the initiative offers broad support, you’ll still need to meet criteria, comply with regulations, maintain records, show viability and possibly track progress.
-
Focus on Sustainable Growth: Because sustainability is an explicit objective (70% success rate target, 5% turnover growth target), design your enterprise with clear growth and resilience plan.
